More and more people are resolving to stay in their homes rather than selling and buying another home. Some are just trying to maintain and keep on through the crisis, but it's difficult because things are starting to break, and you May not have the money to hire a professional to come and get everything fixed. Here are six cheap things you can do that can not only save money, time, and your attitude in this difficult time.
# 1 Do not skimp on maintenance for large and small items. It's much better to have your heating and air guy to his house at $ 100.00 to go through and check everything out rather than buy a new heating and air conditioning, which can cost up to $ 6,000 or more!
# 2 Go through your house with a small can of oil lubricants, screwdriver and pliers to check doors, windows, locks and anything else you have that May May need tightening. Make sure you are safe and crunch to get oiled, locks work, etc. What you can not fix it, make a list for the near future.
# 3 Get out there. Do the same thing outside of your home that you have just done inside. Check rails, gates, fences and anything else you have out of this potentially could need repair. What you can not fix it easily, add to your list.
# 4 take to compile a list of the library or get on the internet and start doing the research for each of the issues which have found that either do not know how to fix or be replaced. Do not rule that what you think needs to be replaced can actually be fixed. It's amazing what you can find out if you try.
# 5 get some free help for all you do not understand. It is much easier than you might think. Many local hardware stores are specialists who work in the department of their specialties, and they also have free or very inexpensive classes to teach you how to make some simple fixes for some of the more difficult installation. Take advantage of these resources as they are here for you!
# 6 do. I can not tell you how many times my wife and I have gathered all information and all the tools and supplies for the project and takes us forever (or companies coming) for us to get it done. It is much more satisfying to just get those pesky projects behind you, and if you can get them done with little or no money, it just makes everything sweeter
